GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:

All treatments provided by Marmion Massage will last for the specified duration purchased: i.e. a 75 minute treatment will last 75 minutes.

All clients must complete a consultation form prior to their first treatment and will receive up to 10 minutes consultation in addition to their treatment.

Treatments will only be conducted if Marmion Massage deems the treatment safe for the client to receive.

GP / Consultant permission may be required before treatments can be provided.

Parking: It is the client’s responsibility to be able to provide or advise parking prior to booking an appointment. Time spent by the therapist trying to find suitable parking, if not warned in advance by the client, may be deducted from total treatment times.

Treatment Space: Marmion Massage has the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the room or environment is deemed unsuitable for the treatment to be provided


CANCELLATION POLICY:

You can cancel, or rearrange, your appointment with up to 24 hours notice without charge.

If you give less than 24 hours notice for cancellation, then you will lose your deposit, as your appointment is unlikely to be replaced at such short notice. If you wish to rearrange with less then 24 hours notice, then it may be possible to refund or transfer the original deposit.

Marmion Massage has the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the room or environment is deemed unsuitable for the treatment to be provided, or if the therapist is taken ill.

Marmion Massage has the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the client appears to be intoxicated or inebriated

Marmion Massage commits to rearranging treatments to a new time and date within two weeks of the cancelled treatment, if possible.


PAYMENT:

Upon booking, you will be given the option of paying a deposit or in full. If you only pay the deposit, then the remainder will be payable at the time of the appointment. If there is mobile reception, I can accept card payment as well as cash or bank transfer.


REFER A FRIEND SCHEME:

Refer a Friend:
If a new client tells me that you referred them to me and they become a regular client, then you will be sent a coupon that will give you 50% off your next treatment once they have a second appointment.

Note that only one coupon / discount can be used per treatment. Each coupon can only be used once. Coupons are transferrable to others, if you wish. The new client must have booked, paid and received their second treatment before you will be sent the coupon. There is no limit to the number of coupons you can receive, so refer as many friends as possible.

GIFT VOUCHERS:

Upon purchase of a gift voucher, a coupon code will be emailed to be purchaser. Multiple treatments may be purchased, if wished, up to the coupon’s value.

If the gift voucher is for a specific type of treatment, there will be a surcharge of £10 if the recipient books an evening appointment.

Coupons may be transferred and used by other people if wished.

Coupons expire twelve months from purchase.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the recipient is with Marmion Massage’s catchment area of 20 miles around Ripon.

For security purposes, any refunds on Gift Vouchers will be made to the card used to purchase the voucher.


MEDICAL CONCERNS:

When booking a treatment, you must inform us of any medical conditions at the time of your booking. If you have any uncertainty you must seek medical advice from your doctor. A consultation form must be completed at the time of your first booking. If anything has changed since then, you must tell your therapist before your treatment.

Please be aware that some conditions will mean that you cannot have certain treatments and you may not be able to have a treatment that day or your therapist will suggest an alternative treatment. This will not be discounted.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR:

Marmion Massage has the right to terminate a treatment immediately if the client demonstrates inappropriate or sexual behaviour.

Payment will be collected for the full treatment price, provided more than 10 minutes has been spent massaging the client.

If the therapist is unable to collect money before leaving, an invoice will be sent to the client’s address.

All invoices must be paid within 7 days of issue date.

PRIVACY:

Client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client, unless the client is under the age of 18 or has a care worker or guardian.

Consultations will only be discussed with the client, unless the client is under the age of 18 or has a care worker or guardian.

Consultation Forms and treatment notes will be kept on file, securely by Marmion Massage.

All clients must complete a consultation form prior to receiving their first treatment.

By signing the consultation form, clients are giving Marmion Massage permission to hold records and data about them.

Personal information will not be shared with any third parties.

YOUNG CLIENTS:

Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The adult and client must both give permission for the treatment to be performed. The adult must co-sign the client’s consultation form. The adult must be present in the room throughout the treatment.

INSURANCE AND ETHICS:

Marmion Massage is registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). Marmion Massage abides by the Code of Conduct and Professional Practice provided by the FHT. Marmion Massage is fully insured through the ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists).
